Cambridge House was built by John Geeves an Englishman from Cambridgeshire. He was a member of the Geeves family that founded Geeveston and owned a saw mill opposite the house, where the beautiful wood he used to build the house was milled. The house has had a chequered history, on one occasion in the 1920's having Gelignite thrown at the back door!! It is a short walk to the shops and restaurants in the centre of the lovely village of Geeveston, and is central to the Hartz Mountains National Park, The Tahune AirWalk and the fabulous Hastings Caves, as well as some breathtaking beaches and stunning scenery. The Guest Lounge and Dining Room is exclusively for the use of our guests, where we have a dinner menu available, with local produce and some from our own garden as well as a Wine and Drinks list. Ideal on those warm evenings to relax with a pre dinner drink in the grounds of our beautiful garden or just watching the Platypus and Ducks feeding. We have four letting rooms, all of which are named after the Geeves family members:Two queen sized bedrooms with en suite facilitiesOne Family room (One double bed plus two single beds)One Twin-bedded room (One room with two single beds)Both these rooms are popular with group bookings.

A romantic historic retreat in an old orchard setting, boarded by the Kermandie River, where the platypus can be seen daily from our beautiful garden.

The people, places, and produce.
